My current work deals with themes I've covered in previous projects. I use the imagery of the bird as a symbol for desire, and the caged bird as a symbol for one's desires being confined, either by self-limitations or those imposed upon us. I'm currently working towards a performance-based piece. These drawings (and their impending manipulation through print, stitching and object-making) will inform the appearance of costumes etc.
